INSTALLATION

HOW TO CHOOSE RIGHT KIND OF FLOORING?

Crunch Numbers. Calculate your budget. Keep in mind that along with the cost of the floor material, you may need to incorporate the cost of underlayment, delivery, and installation, as well as removal and disposal of your previous flooring. Don't forget to factor in any additional materials such as baseboards, stains, or adhesives.

Style Matters. What colors and patterns do you like? Think about which floor textures appeal to you: hardwood grains, luxuriously grey, modern beveled edge, etc. And look up some latest trends, take into account your current décor, too. Don't forget to choose floors that complement the furniture and accessories you have now.

Lifestyle in Sight.  What matters is how you use the place and what you use it for? Are you an avid cook who spends hours standing at the stove? Then you may want to skip the tile, which can be uncomfortable to stand on for long periods. Do your kids leave puddles of water on the bathroom floor? You may want to go for waterproof flooring option such as vinyl or SPC, which stands up to water. Do you have pets who bring outdoor to indoor? Your floor will need to be able to stand up to the wear and tear your family dishes out and accommodate your activities.

TEAM WORK CAN HELP YOU SAVE

LET'S MEASURE YOUR NEW PROJECT !

Determining how much flooring you need to buy is very simple, and it saves time and later hurdles to measure it properly before shopping.

Just follow these basic steps.

Step 1:

Find out the square footage of each room in which you want to install new flooring. To do so, use a tape measure to determine the room’s length and width. Then multiply the length by the width to get your square footage. For instance, if the room is 10 feet wide and 12 feet long, you will need enough flooring for 120 square feet (10×12=120).

Step 2:

Add 10% to the square footage to accommodate cuts and waste. (If you’re choosing a tile pattern, add 20%). This is important because the cuts in the flooring need to be staggered. And you’ll want pieces left over just in case you need to mend or replace a board. So that’s 120 feet plus 10%, or 12 feet, for 132 square feet.

Note: Some floor plans doesn't calculate closets so its always good to double check if your calculation includes all the area of installation.

Step 3:

Your measurements will certainly give you a good ballpark estimate when you discuss your project with our experts, though little things can make a difference in the actual calculation. For instance, for installation in rooms larger than 40 feet long or 25 feet wide, a transition piece will be required.
